Now that we are half way through winter, I am once again dreaming of warm summer nights. One thing I can say about winter, however, is that when the nights are clear the stars are absolutely magnificent!
The vastness and beauty of the starry sky is powerful thing. It has the ability to connect people, as is the case with this bride and groom.
When I first met with Mackenzie and Philip to talk about their custom invitation design, they told me about their mutual love of stargazing. The shared love of the stars became the theme of their beautiful garden wedding and basis for all of their paper goods.
The invitation I designed for them featured the night sky along with a custom constellation logo of their initials. We also designed coordinating seating charts and table numbers.
Instead of using a traditional number for the tables at their reception, they chose to name them. Each table was named after a constellation that held special meaning to the couple. The designs featured both the name and the actual formation of the constellation to both delight their guests and to help them find the proper seat.
I love the mixture of blues, the softness of their garden setting, and the twinkling lights strung about. It really is the perfect wedding reception for these star-crossed lovers. I hope you enjoy these photos from Jessica White Photography as much as I do!
